Trekking to the black lakes: This 6-day trekking program takes you through the Toktogul region to Arslanbob village. The route includes walking around Toktogul lake, trekking to Karasuu and Kapka lakes, crossing the Bel-Monchok pass at 3,400 meters, and exploring the valleys of Otuz Art and Kizil-Unkur.

Each day includes guided hiking, picnic lunches, and overnight stays either in tents or local homestays. The program also includes a short transfer by vehicle from Kizil Unkur to Arslanbob. Participants will experience lakes, forests, and small mountain villages along the way.

Here is the program by day

Arrival in Toktogul: 2h walking from the homestay to the lake side. Possibility to swim. Overnight and dinner in the homestay.

Day 1 / Bishkek – Toktogul

In the morning, we drive to Taktalik village. Start of trekking. Picnic on the top of Taktalik range. Down to Karasuu lake. Overnight and dinner in the tent. 5/6h.

Day 2 / Trekking to Karasuu lake

Along the Karasuu lake, we hike to the 2nd lake of the valley. Picnic on the way. The forest landscape during the day. Overnight and dinner in the tent. 6/7h.

Day 3 / Trekking to Kapka lake

Early morning, we start our hiking through the Bel-Monchok pass at 3400m. Down to Otuz Art valley. Overnight and dinner in the tent camp. 7/8h.

Day 4 / Trekking to Otuz Art valley

Early morning, during this hiking day, we have a lot of small mounts and meeting with local apiculture. Picnic on the way. In the late afternoon, we reach the forest of Kizil Unkur valley. Overnight and dinner in the tent around 2000m. 6 or 7h of hiking.

Day 5 / Trekking to Kizil-Unkur valley

In the morning, we have short trekking to reach the village of Kizil Unkur. Trekking in walnut forest is niice. Meeting with a driver. Lunch over there. Transfer to Arslanbob. 1h of driving. Accommodation in the local family house for the dinner and overnight. End of services.

Level: Moderate to challenging. Daily walking is 5–7 hours with some steep climbs. Participants should be in good physical shape.
Altitude: Trekking reaches up to 3,400 m.
Age Limit: 18–50 years old.
Safety
Local people live along the route and can assist in emergencies.
Guides carry a satellite phone during the trek.
Basic first-aid kits are carried by the guides.

Guesthouses, tents, and homestays with shared bathrooms. Conditions in remote areas are simple. Accommodation depends on the route.
