The World Nomad Games
The World Nomad Games are a major international event that brings together traditions, culture, and ethnic sports of peoples from around the world. They have become a global platform for cultural dialogue and the preservation of the heritage of nomadic civilizations, including competitions in horseback riding, archery, wrestling, and many other traditional disciplines.We can arrange a tour for you to attend this wonderful event. Dates and Locations
The Games will take place from August 31 to September 6, 2026.
The opening ceremony will be held on August 31 in Bishkek.
The Games include a number of unique disciplines that reflect the nomadic way of life:

Equestrian sports — kok-boru, horse racing, horseback wrestling.

Wrestling and traditional sports — kuresh, mas-wrestling, and others.

Cultural events — an ethno-festival, handicraft exhibitions, music, and dance.


Jaichy Agrofest
This festival is all about farming and traditional handmade crafts. It takes place in the beautiful Kuksay valley and shows how wool products are made — from raising sheep to weaving carpets. The event also focuses on eco-tourism and protecting local culture.
Visitors can enjoy live music, folk songs, food workshops, and see how Kyrgyz yurts are made. It’s a cozy and inspiring experience in the mountains.

Kochkor Festival at Lake Son-Kul
This high-mountain festival feels like a journey to the past. Right by the peaceful Son-Kul lake, you’ll see nomadic traditions come to life: setting up yurts, traditional dances and music, horseback games, and hands-on workshops for local foods and crafts.
The highlight is Salburun — a spectacular hunting show with eagles, dogs (taigans), and archers, showing ancient Kyrgyz skills. In the evening, enjoy a warm dinner, bonfire, and starry skies.

Kyzyl-Tuu Festival
Kyzyl-Tuu is a famous village known for making the best yurts in Kyrgyzstan. Every local here is a skilled craftsman, and this festival is a celebration of their talent and traditions.
You can take part in yurt-building, weaving, and wood carving workshops. There will also be folk music, dances, traditional games, and a tasty lunch with local dishes. It’s fun for all ages — kids and adults alike.

Salburuun Eagle Festival
Salbuurun is an ancient nomadic hunting tradition that combines eagle hunting, Taigan dogs, and archery. At the festival, you’ll see spectacular eagle shows, Taigan dog competitions, and archery contests — even while riding horses! The event takes place in a beautiful location surrounded by mountains and the lake — a great chance to experience real Kyrgyz culture and take amazing photos.
Traveler-friendly: The program ends at 4:00 PM, so you’ll have plenty of time to continue your trip to Karakol, Kochkor, or Bishkek.
