Kaganvoyage is a tour operator in Kyrgyzstan. This page explains what personal data we collect when you use kaganvoyage.com or book a tour with us, why we collect it, who we share it with and what your rights are.

1. Who we are

The data controller is Kaganvoyage, Israilov str. 18, Toktogul, Kyrgyzstan, 721600.

2. What we collect and why

  • Enquiry forms (contact form and trip planner): your name, email, phone number, travel dates, number of travellers, travel style and message. We use them to answer you and prepare a tour offer.
  • Newsletter: your email address, to send you news and offers. You can unsubscribe at any time.
  • Booking a tour: a copy of your passport identity page, your home address, email, WhatsApp number and invoice details. We need them to organise your tour (permits, accommodation, transport) and for our accounting.
  • Messages by email, WhatsApp or Telegram: your messages and contact details, to answer you.
  • Visiting the website: technical data such as your IP address, browser and device type, needed to run the site and keep it secure.
  • Analytics, only if you accept cookies: pages viewed, clicks on our contact buttons, whether a form was sent, approximate location and device type. We use this to understand how the site is used and improve it.

Legal bases: steps before a contract and the contract itself (enquiries and bookings), legal obligations (accounting, permits), our legitimate interest (running and securing the site, answering messages) and your consent (newsletter and analytics).

We do not sell your data and we do not use it for advertising profiles.

3. Cookies

  • Necessary cookies keep the site working, for example your language choice and your cookie choice (kagan_consent, kept for 6 months). They do not need your consent.
  • Analytics cookies from Google Analytics (_ga, _ga_*) are set only if you click “Accept” in the cookie banner. They are kept for up to 13 months.

You can change your choice at any time with the “Cookie settings” link at the bottom of every page.

4. Who receives your data

We only share data when it is needed to provide our service:

  • Our website host greeNative / ch-dns (Switzerland), which stores the website and form entries.
  • Google (email services, and Google Analytics only with your consent).
  • Our customer management system, hosted by Vercel and Neon, where we keep enquiries and bookings.
  • Local partners who run parts of your tour (guesthouses, yurt camps, drivers and guides). They only receive what they need, for example your name, and your passport details for border-zone permits.
  • Authorities, when the law requires it (for example for border permits).

Some of these providers are located outside your country. Where the law requires it, these transfers are protected by standard contractual clauses or similar safeguards.

5. Third-party content

Reviews on our pages are shown by Trustindex and come from Google reviews. Buttons to WhatsApp, Telegram, Facebook and Instagram take you to those services, whose own privacy policies then apply.

6. How long we keep your data

  • Enquiries that do not lead to a booking: up to 3 years after our last contact.
  • Booking records and invoices: as long as accounting and tax law requires.
  • Passport copies: deleted after your tour, unless the law requires us to keep them.
  • Newsletter: until you unsubscribe.
  • Analytics data: up to 14 months.

7. Your rights

You can ask us to see, correct or delete your data, to limit or object to how we use it, and to receive a copy of it. You can withdraw your consent at any time, for example by unsubscribing from the newsletter or changing your cookie choice.

To use these rights, write to info@kaganvoyage.com. We will reply within one month.

If you live in the European Union or Switzerland, you can also complain to your data protection authority, for example the CNIL in France.

8. Security

Our website uses an encrypted connection (HTTPS), and access to your data is limited to the members of our team who need it.

9. Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page.
