The oldest guide in Kyrgyzstan

Recently, our KAGAN team traveled to the Kochkor district. Our teammate and driver Akylbek invited us to visit his village, and we happily accepted. We went to a small and peaceful village called Don-Alysh. There, we met his family and friendly people, explored interesting places, and learned new things.

Hospitality and First Impressions
As soon as we arrived, we felt the kindness of the local people. They welcomed us warmly. We drank hot tea, ate fresh bread, and enjoyed traditional food. The atmosphere was calm, and the air was fresh. Life in the village is quiet and simple, but very beautiful.
The Village School and Its History
One of the most interesting places we visited was Kokubay Mambetaliev School. This school was built during the Soviet Union. Construction started in 1974 and finished in 1977. It was built by Kokubay Mambetaliev, a man who cared a lot about education.
Now, the school director is his son, Nukan, who is also a biologist. He and the teachers take good care of the school and work hard to give students a good education.

A Small but Fascinating Museum
Inside the school, there is a small museum. It has many interesting things: old objects, rare animal specimens, and historical artifacts. Everything in the museum was collected by local people.
Nukan showed us around and explained everything with great passion. He knows a lot about nature and history. It was clear that he loves his work and wants to share his knowledge with others.

Our Impressions
Our trip to Don-Alysh was a wonderful experience. We met kind and hardworking people, learned about the history of the village, and enjoyed the beauty of nature.
This journey showed us how important it is to remember traditions, protect history, and share knowledge. We are very thankful for the warm welcome and hope to visit again!
